The Hackamore offers some of the best native quail habitat in all of Western Oklahoma. We hunt the woody cover of the sandsage grasslands along the Beaver River to the shinnery oak motts of the North Fork of the Red River.

Habitat includes woody cover such as sagebrush, sumac, sand plum, and shinnery oak. Native grasses include little bluestem, switch grass, big bluestem and indian grass with scattered forbs such as ragweed, crotons and sunflower.

You can book with our experienced guides or bring your own dogs. For safety, we book a maximum of three quail hunters per guide. Our exclusive hunting ranches offer you wild bird hunting on well managed upland habitat.

If you like the sight of a brace of bird dogs locked on point and fast flying bobs bursting out of a plumb thicket, then you will enjoy what Hackamore has to offer. Enjoy wild bird hunts in a natural and relaxing environment.
